April is Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month; a time to raise awareness, take action, and be a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves. Animal cruelty isn’t always obvious. It can include neglect, abandonment, lack of food, water, or shelter, or keeping pets in unsafe or confined conditions. This nationwide initiative, led by organizations like the ASPCA for over 150 years, encourages all of us to: ✔️ Report suspected abuse ✔️ Support local shelters ✔️ Consider adoption ✔️ Advocate for stronger animal welfare protections If something doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts; report concerns to your local animal control or humane society. Laws vary by state, but your voice can make a difference everywhere. Together, we can create safer, kinder communities for all animals.
